Oklahoma is the fifth-worst state for food wastefulness (Skip Shapiro Enterprises). And yet, more than 1 in 4 Oklahoma children are food insecure (Feeding America). Many local organizations are working hard to battle food insecurity in Owasso. Our goal is to mitigate hunger in Owasso by donating compost to Owasso Community Gardens, as well as raising awareness of local carbon footprints and increasing involvement in local food banks.
